Heroes come in all sizes and shapes. At Mysteries of Canada we honor our military and civilian heroes through our stories and our lists (including Victoria Cross recipients, Star and Medal of Valour, Cross of Valour recipients and more. We also have a list of Canadians killed in peacekeeping operations around the world. Our newest list is perhaps the most difficult to write because we are still adding to it. Below is the list of service and civilian personnel who have given the ultimate sacrifice in Afghanistan since 2002. Regardless of how you feel about the war in Afghanistan, our honoring of these heroes must rise above politics.
